On draught at Bailey's, this is apparently a pro-am brew, a heavily hopped tripel. Served in a snifter, clear gold with a white collar leaving scattered lace.
Smell is yeasty, doughy, a little minty, nice hop snap.
Taste is very nicely balanced, it's hoppy, nice dried herbs, big yeast, minty, a little heat, a little sweet, a little bitter, some minerality; really well done.
Mouthfeel is dry, some slickness, lighter body.
Drinkability is really high, this is a fantasic beer, very nicely executed. Very authentic trippel backbone but cranked up in the CA style with lots more hops, but still the classic profile (styrian goldings)?
