Rebellion was created by Bear Republic's brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

This is the second single hop beer I tried from Bear Republic. It poured a toasted gold with thin foam sitting atop. I enjoyed the aroma—slightly fruity with some zest. Tasted crisp and light with a bitterness midpoint that featured the pleasing fruit notes and a toasted biscuit as it warmed. I wouldn’t consider this to be the defining version of this one but, as with the Triskel brew I’d consider this a work in progress with some room for improvement.
