Served in a tasting glass at the brewery. From notes. Reviewed 10 March 2013.
A: Dark, opaque amber.
S: Sour and winey. Dark grapes and fruit, and a distinguished mellowness.
T: Perhaps too much wild yeast. It tastes spoiled, acrid, infected. Too funky, but the sour grapes are kind of nice until the mildewy end taste.
M: Thinnish, but unobjectionable.
O: I'm very ambivalent, but I don't think I liked it. Would try again but not recommend.

On draft at brewpub. 12oz pour into tulip
Pours a deep cloudy amber color with skim/trace head. Lots of lacing for the style.
Nice deep, sticky, fruity sweet tart aroma (if that makes sense).
Dark fruit skin flavor, leading with grapes and oak, and followed by cranberry, passion fruit, and a touch of tart cherry. Good barrel quality left on the palate. Interesting. Light juiciness. Mouthfeel is good and dry. Not too much tart pull.
Really did not expect this style when I ordered it, but then I noticed that they list it as a Wild Ale on the board. A nice break from their traditional, and pretty well done.
