Had on tap with old and new nitro. Must say if you can get new nitro it's worth it. Although older keg still retained sufficient charactetistics of the intended final product.
Color: Pitch black, dark amber when run through light.
Retention: prominent light tan ring and s shaped ring of foam in center.
Lacing: for a snifter very average with alot of splotches that dried to a sticky residue. Still for an imperial stout and a higher sugar content it matched the style.
Smell: Immediate malt and chocolate with a lingering fruit that is almost indistinguishable and makes tasting that much more exciting.
Taste: very dry upfront, with a slight chocolate, malt and raisin body that is finished sweet with an immediate undistinctive alcohol bite.
