12 oz Bottle poured into a Mikasa glass. Came in a friend's random beer of the month club.
Appearance: Too big of a head on the pour, off-white with moderate lacing. Cloudy yellow-orange color that appears lighter at the base of the glass.
Smell: Lots of orange and grapefruit. Pine-sol. Pretty strong aromas, then again, the head was massive.
Taste: Grapefruit comes through the most, but a lot of acidity is present, some sourness that doesn't mesh well with the hops. Tastes stale.
Feel: Overly Carbonated. Not smooth at all. After the carbonation shock, it actually is pretty thin.
Overall: A young brewery that clearly has some room to develop, the Pale Ale isn't anything special, but isn't undrinkable by any means. The late hopping gave it some powerful aromas. Just wish they carried through more on the taste.

Decent little pale ale. Nothing really stood out to me as being anything better than average. It's certainly on the malty side but I still got a fair amount of bite out of it as well. Mild citrus notes, very mild, but a decent lingering hop tone that I enjoyed. I'd drink it again but I wouldn't seek it out.

a: a light amber, rich foamy head that is very firm and doesn't go away. this one gushed upon opening, and there is plenty of carbonation left. fairly light bodied in appearance.
s: an immediate slick sweetness presents itself in a honey/toffee malt. light tropical fruit notes creep in and keep the sweetness going with a very light earthy tone in the end of this. smells pretty potent for a pale.
t: malt forward. grains with a mix of oat wheat and barley lead in and make way for a nuttier malt and touches hop bitterness and lemon. Then a quick switch in the finish to sweetness...caramel and toffee sweetness which fades fast into a watery bitter end.
m: buttery and smooth considering...hints at water, the body is inconsistent on this. light carbonation, could coat the palette better.
o: Not a bad pale, a bit malt forward for me. hints of greatness but slightly unbalanced and the malt/grain profile don't work all that well with the sweetness and hop profile they used in here. I would try again, but there isn't anything terribly above average here.

Tried on tap at 1st Street Alehouse in Livermore, served in a standard glass.
A: clear, copper color; low to medium head that went away fairly quickly
S: Some caramel, some not-altogether-pleasant generic maltiness
T: Mild hop bite, without the usual aromatic floral flavor; a little bit of citrus and sweeter fruit; some caramel; pretty overwhelming bready malt flavor, especially in aftertaste; my drinking partner claims there is a particularly unpleasant off-flavor that's similar to maca powder, but I don't find it quite that bad
M: medium body and carbonation
O: Pretty mediocre take on a pale ale, with less hops and more maltiness than I would hope for
Would not order again, but I didn't find it unpleasant, if only for having some fruity flavor

I could pick up a hint of cascade hops in the smell and not much else. The color was a soft copper and the beer had almost no head. The flavor wasn't bad, but it lacked any strong characteristics --- nothing memorable. The aftertaste was a little sour and I didn’t feel the need for more than one.

A coworker was in the area and dropped off a bottle of this off for me to taste. I pour into a pint glass to review.
Yields a quarter inch white head that retains pretty well after a standard pour. Relatively dark in color; between an orange an copper hue. Cloudy enough to limit transparency. Superb lacing.
Pale and faint aroma of light hops and milled grain. Has a real smallbatch brewpub aroma to it.
Taste is better than my nose predicted it would be with biscuity and caramel malts and leafy hops dominating. Quite balanced but the faint hops I detected in the nose are certainly more prevalent.
Medium to light bodied and somewhat watered down. Lighter finish, but not quite what I'd define as crisp. It went down easily and I would likely get one again but would not seek it out.

App - Pale amber colo and clear. Pours moderate white head, creamy and with good retention.
Aroma - Rich nutty grapefruit hop aroma - very west coast. A bit of caramel malt sweetness as well.
Taste - Some malt sweetness up front, then loads of hop flavor with the grapefruit and nuttiness of the aroma. Bitterness quite gentle, but has a lingering slightly bitter hop finish.
MF - Medium body and carbonation. No astringency or warming
D'ability - A very clean, gently drinking pale ale. Not an IBU monster, which aids the drinkability. Malt and hop flavors work well together (balanced), and has no rough edges.
