This is a fairly good, slightly strong, vienna-style. It's pleasant, with some character, but a bit thin and not great. I had it on tap at Snowshoe in Arnold.
Amber - brownish gold, it has a foamy, off-white ring with wisps. It looked like it has had a thins head but this was gone by the time I got it.
The aroma is malty grain with some citrus (vague, but mostly lemony) with hints of herbs.
The taste is similar, malty, faintly caramelly-toasty grain with light citrus (again vague but leaning faintly to the lemon), slightly spicey herb, mineral, and grass, faintly earthy. It is pleasant, with reasonably good balance, light sweetness and bitternes, both clearly evidence but not strong. However, it is a bit thin in feel and character and a bit too much on the grassy-citrusy side. It is similar to a slightly better, slightly fuller, slightly stronger Leinenkugel's Classic Amber. It's drinkable, but not Snowshoe's best.
