Nice add on this one! Too bad that some jagov swooped in underneath me for the approved pic. Believe me, that will NEVER happen again, having learned my painful lesson.
In other news, welcome to my third entry of Happy Water You Drinking for New Beer Sunday (Week 705)?!? I CAN promise you that a) I am NOT drinking water (right now) & b) these will all be Bottles (gasp!) as part of the eradication of The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody. There is nothing wrong here. Do not attempt to adjust your screen. For the remainder of the day, I will control all of my content that you see & read. There are no alien pods in my basement, so there is no need to alert the authorities. Please stand by for further entries.
From the Bottle: "Low IBU Ale"; "Pairs with: The Truth, The Whole Truth, and nothing but The Truth."
I didn't feel like Jokering around so I went straight for a straightforward Pop! of the cap, followed by a C-line pour. Once again, it quickly came up to form just over a finger of fizzy, foamy, rocky, tawny head, but it was gone before I could blink. No Joke! There was modest lacing & decent wisps, but I felt like the Joker was playing a joke on me. Color was a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. No joke! Nose was no joke, either! I am going to borrow from @superspak and go with "grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness." No joke! Mouthfeel was another one that was marginally above watery. Is Atwater incapable of making a beer with some body with somebody? Grr. No joke! As the taste, let's go back to @superspak: "... grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness." No joke, I fully agree with the man. Finish was semi-dry, very low in terms of its bitterness, but sometimes that is enough. I'm joking! I live for bittering hops! This could be an English IPA for its lack of bitterness. No joke, Joker. Time to go watch "Full Metal Jacket" for the millionth time …

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 1/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a nice low IBU IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Pretty unique and interesting, almost feels like an ESB with American hops. Possibly Centennial and Amarillo. Fairly juicy and lightly dank hop complexity, balanced bready malts; and just enough bitterness to balance sweetness. A nicely enjoyable offering.
