Clear mahogany with chestnut and a medium quickly dissipating tan topper leaves some minor lacing. It had a wheat and malty taste to me and it was very smooth and slightly sweet. Very well balanced and finishes smooth, this one stays clean tasting with a sweet wheat back bone.

Pours a cloudy, deep amber-ish brown color with a tan head. Aromas of a sweet malt, kind of fruity even. In the taste, wheat notes and fruit, green apple and maybe a white grape feel. A smooth dry mouthfeel and a dry sweet aftertaste. Easy to drink, nice light body and a bit fruity. Not to shabby.

This was a great brew. Pours dark brown with a healthy light tan head. It has a very light welcoming smell. The taste isn't very dark. It had a wheaty and malty taste to me and it was very smooth and slightly sweet. What I expect a Dunkel Weizen should be like. Great balance. Highly drinkable and I reccomend it. Definately worth a try.

Appearance a ruddy brown heavily clouded large tan beige head forms fluffy and thick the first pour after tapping seemed even heavier with yeast suspensions but the head left thick chunks of lacing behind. Aroma nice banana mild cloves some tart apple and mild raisin notes were in there as well but the wheat sharpness was noted and slightly spicy character overall the roastier darker malts really complemented this style of beer. Flavor was nice a solid dunkelweizen rather rare from the typical microbrewery I enjoyed this much more than other offerings from Atwater I've tasted so far soft smooth banana wheat bread beer the spicy clove mix and ripe fruits blended well and were never too cloying a bit acidic and tart in the finish but overall tasty and quite enjoyable. Mouthfeel had some effervescent fluffy carbonation overall a medium bodied carried well on the palate never sat too heavy or thin nice texture. Drinkability was solid defnitely a wheat beer I could drink a couple of in a session with no worries.
