Smooth, clean and crisp but a little too safe and no strong, bold flavors to speak of. Sampled on tap at Atwater Brewery in Grand Rapids. Pours a nice amber but very scant, if any, lingering head or lacing. The only aromas I can detect are some very faint, distant malt and caramel notes. Tastes of some vague malt, caramel, toffee and perhaps just a touch of grain and nuttiness. But it’s all very light and distant. Smooth clean thin mouthfeel, good carbonation. A little disappointing in its lack of power, bitterness or depth.
