12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 9/2019. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy black cherries, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, coriander, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tang/tartness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly sticky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited gose. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Not overly lactic/salty. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy cherries and Lacto complexity; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example.
