To brew a beer as stunning as Dorothy’s Herefordshire surroundings, we selected a blend of malts for a well-balanced biscuit and caramel base, and used five hop varieties. The result is a golden IPA bursting with zesty citrus and tropical fruit flavours.

500ml brown glass bottle.
L: Clear, dark gold colour with one finger of fluffy head that collapses to a cap and some spotty lacing.
S: Clean, sweet and malty.
T: Biscuit and caramel and some kind of citrusy toffee. Moderately bitter with noticeable alcohol.
F: Medium body with a rich, oily mouthfeel and a sharp-ish finish.
O: A golden ale on steroids. Golden ales are typically summertime thirst quenchers but this version has alcohol to the fore. An interesting concept but I prefer the summertime thirst quenchers.

Got some very fresh bottles just produced. Pours a clear gold with medium head that leaves some lacing and a ring. Nose is...not as advertised. The label states "bursting with zesty citrus and tropical fruit." Not. Nose is muted, dull, and earthy, with just a bit of citrus. Flavor is a bit better, but again is earthy, not citrusy or tropical at all. On the plus side, drinkability is high. Overall, not particularly good.
