Cask. No sparkler. Clear amber with a thin bubbly head.
Caramel malt upon smelling with earthy and hedgerow hops.
The fruit comes to fore upon tasting. Decent balance.
Cask feel.
Decent if straightforward.

The weakest of the Wye Valleys I tried. Admittedly not a style I go for.

Bottled
Clear medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, apple notes.

A very, very smooth brew that seems almost too refined. This beer came off the tap as an amber brew with a minimal white head, largely because of the manner of pour. The head did hold a ring through the glass and created some lace effect. Very full of malty sense it surprised me that it did not have more fully developed yeasting and breadiness. Full of deep aromas but not hoppy. The hops that were present were very floral. Sweet finish with strange sour aftertaste. Lacked crispness in the finish.
