abv is 8.5 i believe. i know it was 8 something which got me excited, cause i could have more than one or two.
appearance - black with some hints or red and purple. mocha head, not huge but decent lacing on it.
smell - is amazing, so much rich chocolate, dark and milk. coffee and wine follow, with oak bringing the wine.
taste - flavor follows but not as strong. chocolate dominates and wine is hardly detectable. still delicious.
mouthfeel - creamy and rich for 8.5 especially. carbonation is definitely there though this is on tap and not aged.
would love to get some more.

Pours pitch black, thick and dense, which was not penetrated by the mid day Colorado sun. This on was very roasty on the nose, with an almost burnt character, which carried over to the palate; warming, with a nice hoppy finish. A very nicely balanced imperial stout, although by this point in the afternoon the lineup of strong beers was beginning to take its toll on the palate.

I took off a bit from drinkability cuz i was getting smashed. Could be from this one, but could have been from the lineup, too.
Great looking stout. Black. With deep tan head. Dense about 2 fingers. Sticky. Looks de-lish. Some red streaks.
This is liquid chocolate aroma, dark chocolate. Not that pansy milk-chocolate stuff. Soft coffee aroma. Flavor follows. Some sharp coffee up front. Chocolate (dark) middle. Smooth. A touch viney and green, yet that gives it a good juicy sense to it.
This is a very nice beer. I might move to Golden.
