I had this at the Colorado Brewfest in Ft Collins.
It pours a cloudy yellow orange with a small head of foam. It looks the part.
The smell is fruity with some lemon zest noticeable and has a good nose of wheat. Oh, there's some clove here as well.
The taste is of wheat, citrus-lemon zest, overall lightly sweet more so tart and is wonderfully refreshing. Some notes of clove pop up as does a little bit of banana and there's a plesant bitterness that moves in near the finish.
Gee, I liked this hefeweizen a lot for its taste, drinkability, and its overall superior thirst quenching attribute.
Close to medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Drinkability? I think I already mentioned how drinkable I found it. A great Hefe for the summer...indeed but I suspect further encounters with this brew will be rare. Not by my choice.
