Stopped by GCB to try this out after a long day of bike riding. Pours caramel/amber color with moderate light tan head. You can definitely smell the whiskey (it's my understanding this was aged in Stranahans whiskey barrels). Tastes of whiskey, malt-mania, caramel, oak, a little vanilla. The barrel-aging was done very well, as this is neither a whiskey bomb, nor do I strain to detect it. The only complaint I have about the flavor is that the base beer is lacking a bit in complexity and depth. I can see why the non-BA version of Centurion has a B- score. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. I'd score this higher on drinkability if there were more depth. But with 14% ABV, I had my fill with a 9 oz glass. Overall, a very nice brew.
