Quite probably wrongly categorised. Not sure where insipid English wheat beers are supposed to go.... Anyway this one was brewed for the recent Wetherspoons festival and I had a half pint. It was a dark straw colour with a standard 'spoons head. There was some lemon, some yeast and some dough in the nose. It begain with an earthy apple to caramel flavour and wasn't crisp, zesty, clean or refreshing as per the 'spoons notes. This was too earthy and insufficiently fruity to work. Maybe cask is the wrong approach for this beer?
