The colour is dark amber; the liquid is clear. The low beige head sinks slowly down to a thin lid.

The smell is mild. Some hints of yeast and mixed fruits.

The taste is sweet with fruity notes (green apples) and a dry chemical touch of baking soda. The short aftertaste is somewhat sweet with sour fruit-notes and a very low bitterness.

The carbonation is low with small smooth bubbles. The liquid is smooth.

This is a light and refreshing ordinary bitter with an interesting (yet very mild) hoppy finish.

Tasted by half-pint at my local JDW pub, the Half Moon, East End London.

A: transluscent amber hue, light and thin white head settles fast to a thin carpet of foam; low carbonated.
S: mildly apple-ish and peachy aromatic fruits come alongwide a richer note of malts--caramel, sugar, thick honey... as it breathes the fragrant side of hops gradually tunes up, slightly like Cascade. But overall a good backbone of malts retains.
T: a lightly spicy and fragrant hop flavour underlined by mildly honeyish malts, leading towards an intensifying biscuity and semi-rich texture at the back. Bitter-sweet malty finish with a faintly sour kick and overly limited entry of hop aftertaste and bitterness--pity.
M&D: extremely soft mouthfeel, medium-bodied, flavour gearing towards the malty theme but with clear input from fragrant hops; the down side of this beer lies in its low hop impact on the palate as against the nose, and the carbonation is a touch too smooth to qualify as a session bitter. All in all, it doesn't sparkle, but remains a comfortable drink (for half-pint) all the same.
