Løkken 7/7 2023. 75 cl corked bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. The usual Gouden Carole’s Indulgence brand design in a black and dark blue version.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a mid-sized, frothy white head. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a little stone fruit and yeast. Sweet malts. Peach and oxidized apple. Alcohol and humid cellar.
Rather strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and slightly citric. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Nice strong Pale Ale.

On tap at Belmont Station today. Based on the abv., this appears to be what I'm drinking.
The beer pours a striking golden amber color with good head retention and considerable sticky lacing all around. To no great surprise, this beer looks great. On the nose I get considerable clove, honey, light vanilla and banana, and white pepper. What do you know, it smells pretty good as well. On the palate, this is an impressive effort. The flavor profile replicates the nose, with the moderate sweetness countered nicely by the noticeable hoppy bitterness. It tends to dry the beer out very well on the finish. That being said, the flavor profile is pretty complex, and it feels like there's a lot going on with this beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, with a clean, lightly bitter finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, and so drinkability is pretty good. This isn't the sort of beer you'd want to gulp down, but by the same token, it's no chore to drink this beer.
Another well crafted beer from the brewers at Het Anker. Shocking!
