Copenhagen 28/7 2023. 75 cl corked bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. The Gouden Carolus Indulgence brand's usual design with little sticker in orange.
Pours unclear pale yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor with touch of yeast mingling with bit of zesty citrus and a vinous, sparkling vibe. Sweet pale malts, sour cheese, citrus and herbs. Parsley and thyme. Whiff of pro secco.
Light carbonation.Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is tart with sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Sweetish festive beer with a touch of vinous bubbles.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9.3%. Clear golden colour, large white head. Aroma of pilsener malts, Belgian ale yeast and white kandij sugar syrup, also spicy and herbal hops. Light bodied for its strength. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, distinct herbal and spicy notes, hints of alcohol.

On tap at a bar in Rehoboth Beach, DE. A nice Belgian ale with a bit of funky tartness.
