Brown-red color. Beige foam, average.
The smell is definitely fruity, with red fruit (cherry, raspberry), and green apple. With a background of malt and caramel.
A bit sugary. Even notes of marsala, zabaione.
Even marzipan.
Very sweet in the taste, with marzipan, zabaione, caramel. Absolutely sugary.
In the beginning, some dark notes of liquorice and roasted, but quickly covered by the assault of the sugary sweetness.
Same in the aftertaste, maybe just a bit less sweet, but anyway... Marzipan.

When poured in it shows a very vivid beer. This vividness gives the beer a nice white head. But this head dissolves quite quickly. The odour is bittersweet, it reminded me of De Koninck. It has a dark amber/peachy colour. And shows a low acidity. You will not find traces of yeast on the bottom of the bottle or in your glass, still it is a strong 9%. The first sip is like a explosion on the tip of jour tongue than dissolves as quick as it came. And it leaves a long sweet aftertaste that mingles with your saliva. The aftertaste is more bittersweet, but modest. There is no overpowering aroma. In general this beer reminds me of a non-sour Jack-Op.

Ut vivat, crescat, floreat!
