a slightly fizzy hazy orange pour.. no head. wasn't expecting much more from a beer brewed in 1997.. the smell, phew.. it's a bit funky, lots of sweet malt is present but a nauseating lemon pledge scent overpowers everything. very medicinal scent. actually a pleasant lemony flavor up front with a sweet malt backbone, honey/caramel overall flavor with a light lemon twist. surprisingly this is pretty damn tasty in comparison to what i was led to believe from the aroma. a very medicinal lemon flavor lingers unfortunately, making you want to just get this beer over with. light body with barely any carbonation left. again, this beer is what, 16 years old?
thanks to nick for sending this one. he found a box of them apparently.. the website is probably the best thing on earth. flashback into the 90's. not sure how this beer was fresh, but i'm sure it had to be a lot better than it is aged.
