From the half liter bottle, it pours a clear amber color with a modest white head that soon diminishes to a ring. The nose gets a nice sweet malt scent, followed by the mouth getting a smooth feeling mouth filling slightly sweet brew that calls for another!

Poured a 1/8" dirty soap suds head which faded fast. The smell is very malty but that's pretty much it. Body and color looks kind of like a hazy lighter colored apple cider. The taste is great for the malt, a little sweet, there's a little caramel, and gets buttery as it warms. The finish is fairly crisp and a wee touch nutty like a lager. All in all it's a decent bock.

Pours a lot like yesterday's Ayinger. Perfect amber with the slightest haze. Good carbonation, but no head to speak of on this one and obviously no lacing. Nose is mostly malty with the expected pineapple notes. Flavor is a crash landing of malt, with a lot of alcohol in the finish. Not unique nor complex. A good example of the style but mostly bereft of excitement. Not cheap either at $4.99/half-liter. Not worth tracking down.

This is an excellent bock.

Dark gold/pale amber, it has a smallish off-white head slowly shrinking to a foamy ring with a little weak lace.

Aroma is a lot of herb right off the bat, plus toasty bread crust, mineral, and raisin, very nice and very much a bock.

Taste is toasty, faintly caramelised whole-wheat bread crust, herbs, toasted barley, a lot of raisin, fermented fresh currants, mineral. A zesty & faintly spicey herb bitterness & raisiny spice dominate start to finish with light toasty-fruity sweetness underneath.

Feel is good, firm, not oily or watery, somewhat lively.

500ml brown returnable bottle, no apparent best by date.

Pours a nice, rich gold. It is pretty clear with a very nice deepness and a foamy white head that fizzes away with little lacing.

Smells like... a bock, no where in the ingredients does it list wheat. It has a slight nutiness with noble hops and a doughy breadiness.

The taste follows, a robust lager, with more hops than the typical German lager. It has a nice roasty bread taste that lingers and lingers and a mild sweet malt flavor.

It is a decent bock, hard to find though.

Light amber with a thin white head that fades quickly.
Smell is slightly bready malts with some grassy hops. Faint notes of brown sugar and caramel as well.
Taste is slightly spicey malts, with some hops following. Finish is fairly malty with a touch of hops.
Mouthfeel is crisp up front with a dry yet slightly watery finish. Decent level of carbonation. Light body.
Drinkability is good. Decent beer overall that is easy to drink.

Pours out a nice cloudy light yellow/amber with one finger of very small white bubbles that quickly dissapate.
Smell is belgian yeast and spices. Very wheat oriented and the alcohol is hidden very well.
Taste is mellow malts and candi sugars with just a slight hint of allspice.
Mouthfeel is very clean but there is not a lot of effervescence here.
Drinkability is very good and I wish I had lots to quaff.
Very nice
