Taken from some notes when I poured this bottle into a regular wine glass. Had some at the brewery in Strasbourg as well. A very unassuming place, but worth it for the beer.
Cloudy amber, light tan bubbly head, bubbles rising to the top. Smells of caramel and cara pils, slight yeast aroma, baked bread, some floral hops.
Light sweetness, caramel malts, earthy body from suspended yeast, citrusy hops turn into a sharp bitterness. The right amount of carbonation to slightly dry out the finish.
Well rounded but sweetness and ending bitterness not exactly in synch. Nonetheless, a French amber worth trying.
