a great spot here in downtown billings, this is the last of the breweries there that i had not yet been too. awesome decor inside, i mean, very very cool historic building with exposed brick, wood beams, and a lot of high top seating with the brew house visible in back, very humble system. the proprietor and brewer was a real nice guy, i felt bad we were the only ones in the place on a saturday afternoon. all of the seven or so beers he had on tap were quite good, with a wit/hefe hybrid and a black ale called ivan leading the pack for me. german yeasts in many of these beers, curious in styles like an amber, but they all come together really nicely. i would have liked to see a little more creativity in the recipes, but this isnt about pushing the envelope i dont think. i hope business is good here, it wasnt when we were there, but the place is amazing and the beer is solid. definitely worth checking it out if you are in the area.
