Bottled: Feb-4-2019
A:
It pours a clear, ruby-tinged black with a couple fingers of sticky tan head. Decent retention; really sticky lacing. (4)
S:
Light roast, milk chocolate, watery coffee, dark bread. (3.75)
T:
Weak coffee, hard water, bread crust, a little bite from the carbonation. (3.75)
M:
Dry, crisp and drinkable, medium carbonation, dry bite at the finish. (4)
O:
It pours a very inviting clear ruby-black with a healthy cap of tan fluff that sticks around and leaves lovely lace in its wake. The aroma and flavor are all dry roasted barley. Toasty, roasty, verging on bready and chocolate without quite getting there. It is dry, drinkable and, indeed, practically drinks itself. As usual, a nicely crafted straightforward beer from Beau's that is just what it should be and not much more. (3.75)
