An easy-to-enjoy patriotic pale ale. Made with an all-Canadian list of ingredients: aromatic hops from Ontario and British Columbia, Ontario barley and wheat malts, Alberta-grown oats, and Ontario brewer’s yeast. Citrus, fruity, hoppy.

This is not an unbiased review. I have been on the Beau's bandwagon ever since I tried my first pint out east.
The best part of the beer was popping the cap and having a long inhale of the aroma.
It's still a pale ale and nothing that is head and shoulders amongst others but definitely ranks up there for me.

Clear gold with a strong head. Mild citrus nose. Light malt bill with some pine to finish. Decent crispness. A mild APA, not outstanding.

600 ml bottle as part of the Beau's 2018 Fall Pack. Comes out to $5.50 CDN or $6CDN per bottle depending on how you price Lug Tread. Batch 7708 and bottled on September 20, 2018 so this is quite fresh.Served cool in a Mill Street pint glass.

Appearance - Fairly hazy rich golden colored brew. A finger plus of dense white fluffy head. Good retention. Lots of bubbles inside.

Smell - Clean and plenty of grain and plenty of citrusy hops. Lemon and orange mostly with some floral aromatics for effect,

Taste - Some grain followed be a hefty hop bill of lemon and grapefruit. Quite earthy and extensive bitterness in the aftertaste. Aftertaste is grapefruit pith and dirt.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, good carbonation yet soft mouthfeel, easy to drink. Quite nice and not difficult to knock back a bottle.

Overall - A nice pale ale but suffers from some of the issues of recent Beau's releases, a case of being bitter for the sake of being bitter and not a terribly nice afteratste. Good beer, but not great and makes me miss some of the previous years' fall beers, big robust porters and stouts with loads of flavor.
