An aromatic I.P.A. in the contemporary West Coast style. Big tropical fruit gives way to pine, courtesy of American and New Zealand organic hop varieties. With its bold flavours and balanced bitterness, you’ll want to save a permanent spot for Full Time I.P.A. in the beer fridge of your heart.
Full Time I.P.A. pours hazy deep gold with a dense white foam. Aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and pine abound. The flavour mirrors the aroma impressions with pronounced juicy fruit. A balanced bitterness underpins the flavour. This medium bodied ale finishes dry with lingering hop and fruit notes.
MALTS
Pilsner, Vienna, Carafoam, Acidulated (all organic)
HOPS
Simcoe, Cascade, Nelson Sauvin, Citra (all organic)
YEAST
German Ale Yeast"
IBU: 60

Right out of the can it develops a typically canadian, spiced aroma (less hops, more yeast and malt). Not a bad choice when you ARE in canada. It´s cheap and good.

Pours out a hazy orange. As a nice thick alomost creamy foam. I like the pine note and the fruity taste is not too upfront. I like the bitterness almost like grapefruit zest and the piney note. Ok carbonation and a dry finish. I ike it because it's not too fruity.

Look: Pale hazy yellow. 2 finger fluffy white head.
Smell: Strong citrus and grapefruit
Taste: Grapefruit, earthy, a little soapy on the aftertaste
Feel: Tangy on the sides of the tongue, nothing else going on
I am not a fan of higher 50 + IBU beers, so take what I say with that in mind, but I'm not interested in trying again. B-

Hazy light gold with a thick head. Citrus hop nose with floral notes. Medium malt body with a distinct pine finish. Nice even bitterness.

Pours quite cloudy, although it says on the can it is supposed to do that. I did not find anything special or inviting in the smell, and found the taste to be heavy on the bitterness, without much in terms of offsetting notes that appealed to me. Overall not one of my favourites, perhaps since I have been spoiled by many citrous flavoured beers recently.

Pours orange with a lot of sediment. Nice head retention and lacing.
Lots of hops and a toasty aftertaste.
Pleasant enough.

Admittedly, I've never thought much of this brewery; although their larger bottles have always looked nice. Upon cracking the can, I did get some fruit & floral hop aromas but also bready caramel malt came through so I wasn't expecting the type of full hop IPA I've grown to love. Pours a little on the orange side with a tall off white head. Was hoping to see that fine hop resin at the end of the pour but it didn't quite appear while pouring. Can refers to natural sediment, which I'm fine with & enjoy the final sip from the can of a well brewed IPA like those from Collective Arts or some of my favourite US breweries. This sediment however was a little too chunky looking for my liking. Not that I'm opposed to an unfiltered IPA filled with chunks, but some of these were rather large and looked somewhat coagulated. Ok, on to the taste. The hops were noticeable on the first sip and I got some citrus, floral & grassiness along with the sweet bready malt. Hop flavour didn't go that far & subsequent sips were marred by a slight metallic flavour which accompanied the fine light pine bitter ending of each sip. The feel was the best part of this beer as it had a nice full creamy tongue covering feel with good carbonation. In the end, I did enjoy this & it's the best tasting beer I've had from them, but that doesn't say all that much.

Got this one from the LCBO this past summer
From a 16oz can into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, creamy white head with great retention. Hazy gamboge orange in color with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains leaving touches of lacing on the glass as it empties. Good looking.
SMELL: Citrus aromas, grapefruit, passion fruit and mango on the nose. Nice and bold enough.
TASTE: Grapefruit, caramel notes and passion fruit up front. Medium finish with more bitter grapefruit, piney bitterness, a bit of bready malts and notes of passion fruit as well.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a bit dry. Some bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: A good beer, but nothing special. The feel and head are okay here, and the aromas are bold enough, but in an increasingly crowded field of solid IPA in Ontario, this one obviously doesn’t stand out. A decent brew but not worth a re-visit.
