Bottle shared by Steve, courtesy of Rob from Beau's. 600ml into a tulip.
Clear burgundy colour, big cream coloured head. Great retention and good lace. Coffee grounds are prominent in the nose, a bit of espresso, sweet malt notes and caramel. Taste has more sweet coffee grounds, milk chocolate, a bit of fruitiness, caramel and cocoa powder. Light tartness in the finish, and some bitter coffee lingers. Medium body and low carb. A good coffee bock - my only point of reference to the style is Dark Horse's Perkulator, but I think this is superior.

Subscription series bottle. All coffee story. Big coffee aroma. The Coffee is tasty and drinkable but it is tilted at too much coffee and it is too sweet, lots of sugar and cream. Lacey and deep brown bodied.Average mouthfeel.Would have liked them to tone down the coffee. As an aside, why not use local coffee?

Beau's Wild Oats Series No. 17, brewed in collaboration with Bridgehead coffee shops. Bottle #0755, brewed in early February (the stamp is smudged). Served at 40-45 in a large tulip.
Pours a nice copper and ruby tone, with a large meringue-coloured head that leaves some minor lacing and gets retained as a thin, but frothy collar.
The smell of roasted, freshly ground dominates the aroma. Dark malts, grains, dates and berries create a nice, hearty warmth.
Chocolatey malts and coffee give this beer a sturdy backbone. Berries, a citrus tone and toasted wheat round out the taste. The finish is noticeably bitter.
Dangerously drinkable, ABV is almost completely masked. Medium-bodied with a low carbonation level. Yeasty, bready on the tongue. Berry and coffe flavours linger in the aftertaste, along with a subtle sourness.
I've tried at least a dozen beers from Beau's and this easily sits in my top three. The coffee flavour and aroma accent the doppelbock characteristics perfectly in my opinion. I hope this gets brewed again like the other coffee beer (Winterbrewed) has been, though it is quite pricy.
