On cask at Volo for the Beau's Tap Takeover (beaulo) - an Agave Pale Ale aged on Tequila soaked oak chips. Into a plastic cup.
Lightly hazy orange with no real head, save for a some clear bubbles which maintain some semblance of a collar. Nose is quite bright and fruity, lots of citrus, mango and peach. Perhaps the slightest hint of agave (or just tequila?). Bitter in taste initially, with more peaches and citrus flavours. A bit more agave, subtle tequila notes, and not as much oak as anticipated (probably a good thing). A touch of vanilla as well, and maybe even a hint of pine. Warming and fruity, moderate bitterness lingers after each sip. Thin body detracts from the experience, but is also anticipated with these gravity casks . Quite nice all around however, would've perhaps been nicer on tap.
