Bottle from the Greener Futures Project, bourbon barrel aged for 3 months. 600ml into a tulip.
Orange brown body with an offwhite head comprised of a light film and bubbles. Nose features peppermint/winter fresh gum immediately, some berries, a hint of spice and a bit of oak. Definitely obscure, almost like a peppermint gruit (?). Biscuity and crusty flavour, almost brings Pumking to mind in this respect. Some spicing reminiscent of a pumpkin beer and/or gruit, berries and peppermint are still front and center as well. Oak is minute, barrel aging isn't evident. Medium full feel and medium carbonation. A truly original beer - difficult to determine whether or not I'm intrigued or put-off by the peppermint.

Subscription bottle. Smell of peppermint is substantive, some Bourbon. Orange bodied with one-eighth of an inch of head, Lacey. Not so drinkable, too weird for me. Aged for a couple of months, as promised, but maybe that didn't help as it mellowed the peppermint.May need more bourbon and something for bitterness.
