Bottle: Poured a cloudy light orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry hops with medium bitterness level with some lightly sweet malt backbone and very light oak notes. Taste is also dominated by medium bitter notes with dry notes and some light oak with a medium sweet malt backbone. Body is pretty full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Bourbon was a lot more subtle then I would have expected and hops profile not as powerful as expected. I’m still to taste a good IPA that was barrel-aged.

Appearance: It has a nice semi-cloudy golden/orange color to it. It has a nice thick off-white head that dies down slowly and leaves some nice lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of citrus and grapefruit with some piney notes, some roasted caramelly malts and some oak.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has nice citrus, grapefruit and pine from the hops but the sweet caramelly malts balance it out. There is also some slight oak and bourbon as it warms.
Mouthfeel: It has a low/medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas. I definitely preferred this one over the regular Beaver River.
