Picked this beer up at the brewery, it is part of their Greener Futures Project which is a $300 membership fee for 30 beers over three years which they will put toward solar panels on their roof, seemed like a good deal since I only live an hour away and have always enjoyed their products.

Poured into a stemless tulip which came with the membership at about 45 degrees.

A - Beer pours an amber, almost orange colour and is very hazy, cannot even see my fingers on the far side of the glass. Finger wide dense white head which dissipated to about an eighth of an inch in a matter of minutes but does not completely dissapear. Lacing is very sparce.

S - The scent from the bourbon is the most prominent on the nose, leaving a sweet grainy malt scent with little evidence of the hops used. Citrus or some sort of tropical fruit flavor is present but I cannot make it out, almost like mango possibly.

T - Flavour follows suit with the aroma but the bourbon is much more relaxed here, which makes for a very nice sweet flavour. That same fruit flavor is here with a hint of caramel or toffee. Taste dissipates quickly from the tongue and doesn't leave any significant after taste. The high alcohol content is hardly detectable.

M - This beers sits rather heaving and lightly carbonated on the palate, a common thing with high alcohol content beers.

Overall I would have to say this is definitely one of the better barrel aged beers I have had, Alot of breweries tend to over age their beer where too much of the barrel flavour is introduced, but with only six months for this beer it worked out very well
