Appears a bright, nearly-brilliant golden-straw in color, topped with an off-white head of moderate duration which leaves just a touch of filmy lacing behind as it recedes. Appears pilsener-like.
Nose is fairly neutral, and slightly metallic.
Light citric-tang opens this one up, and it's followed by a malt profile which is equal parts toasty/biscuity and neutral crystal malt. Seems like an all malt brew. Tangyness takes a backseat as the drink progresses, and the mild hop bitterness really complements the somewhat dry, biscuity malt character. Lighter-bodied but with an underlying texture which I sometimes note and call "chalky", for lack of a better term.
Very pleasant and easy-drinking beer, although I'm curious as to whether this isn't actually an ale brewed to approximate an earlier lager recipe? No matter in the end, as it's definitely worth a try should you find yourself out this way.

Probably the least impressive of the 3 house beers I sampled, but it was still interesting. After doing some googling, it appears these beers are contract brewed by Viking. Review from notes.
Pale gold and fizzy, racing streams of carbonation visible. Spotty lace, a light aroma of apple and pilsner malt.
Tart lemon, apple flavor, fizzy and crisp. Lightly astringent, not much body. Finishes clean. Had a second pint, but only due to an order mixup. Refreshing on a hot day, and an interesting take on pre-prohibition American lager.
