Pours a pitch black body with two fingers of thick tan foam that laces the glass with rings with every sip. Aromas are very roasty, with big notes of coffee grounds, exotic nuts, and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet up front, very mocha-like, before the espresso bitterness dominates the middle. Finishes with a lingering note of sugarless cocoa powder and roasted chestnuts. Full body befits the austerity of its flavor profile. An excellent beer.
