Made with rye, Sorachi Ace hops, and caraway seeds. Pours a half-finger of yellowed light-tan head over a nearly clear copper liquid. Smells caramel, fresh-cut apples, fresh-baked bread, mildly of nut and chocolate. Pretty interesting. Strong hop aroma of cantaloupe, grassy, iron, and tin.

Tastes strongly of hop flavor (cantaloupe, oranges, strawberry). Hop bitter is earthy with a spicy zip, like in a well-made Bohemian Pils. Malt has a caramel minerally crisp, like found in a good irish red ale. Sharp carbonation adds to this effect in a way that enhances the character of the beer. Though a bit wet in the mouth, it dries very quickly and leaves a stinging carbonation acrid that lingers with the cantaloupe hop flavor. Overall, quite a nice beer.
