Pours a ruby brown in color. Smell is lots of Christmas spice. And I mean alot. Not overpowering, but tough to focus on and pick out individual flavors. Full of clove, ginger and alspice. Good on the mouthfeel, but rather one dimensional. It gets old after just one pint.

Appearance - a dark garnet body with a thin light mocha head. Maintains a collar around the glass.
Aroma - anise, allspice, chocolate, Vicks 44. Reminds me of cola-flavored Bottle Cap candy.
Taste - sweet and moderately malty, with flavors of chocolate, anise, and who knows what else. Along the order of Anchor's Christmas Ale (perhaps the inspiration in part for this beer), but with toned down spices and a bit more chocolate. The finish brings on some light alcohol warmth, chocolate and licorice.
Mouthfeel - wonderfully smooth and evenly carbonated. Festive and happy.
Drinkability - a fine seasonal winter all. A bit sweet for extended pints but well suited for gift-wrapping sessions...

A decent seasonal brew offered at the Cincinnati Fountain Square RBRB. This brew is a clear copper with a thin off-white head. The head lasted briefly but did give some lace down the glass.
The nose on this brew does portray the spice, noted were nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. These blend into the overall flavor with the nutmeg being the dominating spice sense. The brew is a bit thin feeling without much crispness. Easily drinkable especially with RBRB's great chipotle chicken pizza.
