This clear, full amber colored beer is topped by a pale tan head. The aroma is lightly fruity up front with notes of cherry, and soft malty notes of caramel, though the fruitiness definitely dominates the nose. The taste is malty sweet with a bit of spicy hop notes here as well. This beer is fairly light on the palate and there is a soft caramel note that is the most notable part of the finish. This is not a bad Alt, just lacking that extra bit of flavor (I am sensing a pattern with this brewery) that would make it special.

An brownish-orange brew with an off-white small-bubbled head which has great staying power. Nice sourish malt aroma with toasty biscuit character and a hint of German hops. On the palate, toasted and grainy malt dominate, with a well-placed German hop bite here and there to even things out. Great to be able to have it on cask. It went quite well with the carrot cake.
