Big fruity, citrus, spicy hop flavor, slight malt backbone.

At Rock Bottom Arlington, on tap: pours a hazy copper body with an eggshell head with good retention and glass lacing. Aromas remind me of a plate of assorted citrus and melon rinds after they've sat out for a few days (fruity but not fresh), and there's a hint of graininess as well. Big orange peel bitterness dominates the front palate, with a peppery middle before a long citrusy and bitter leaf (think radicchio and other bitter salad greens) finish. Malts aren't sweet or prominent enough at any point for my liking, but overall I like it enough to order two.

On tap:
Pours a hazy to cloudy orange, maybe a little dirty. Fluffy head is off white, but is there to the last drop, hanging onto the glass the whole way down, as if it were nitro, almost.
The nose does have some tropical citrus notes, but they are dulled quite a bit by grassy and grainy scents.
Taste brings a little orange rind first, but then a bready malt flavor before grassy and grapefruit rind bitterness finally grab hold for the second half of the taste.
The body is medium trying to get to fuller. The flavors you get do envelop the mouth quite well.
I just wish the flavors were more distinct. The beer is fairly simple, but it appears to come from a muddling of flavors than being straightforward. An okay IPA.
