Not sure what style to list this under. It won the Gold at the 2000 GABF for Specialty Honey Lagers or Ales, category 9.
This beer pours a nice yellow orange, darker than macro swill. Pours with a nice foamy white head. There's a really really nice floral aroma that actually is quite spicy. Taste is masked initially by some carbonation. There's mild hop bitterness and mild hop flavor. Some more of the spiciness amid a smooth fullness that I suspect must be the honey. Once this has subsided there is a mild clean malt flavor that comes through. The finish is somewhat dry. Leans toward a medium body, certainly fuller than their stout. Mild flavors and 6% alcohol make this a good one for noobs. Beer geeks will want some more bite and flavor though.
From the restroom plaque:
Pale Malt, Carapils, Caramel, Wheat 4%
Centennial bittering
Liberty flavor
Hallertauer dry hops
