A very good hefeweizen, had a hint of banana in it. Also had a taste of wheat malts and cloves to it as well. Had a very pale yellowish color, and a very faint head. Very similar to Shiner Hefeweizen if you've ever had it before. Recommend this beer to any hefeweizen fan.

looked like grapefruit juice: completely opaque and almost orangish. head didn't stick around too long, despite plenty of the prickly carbonation. noticeable lacing

smelled about what a hefe should, but nothing more (though nothing less). right flavor characteristics, but nothing to write home about. seemed to be a huge portion of yeast in the beer that sorta deadened the flavor (in fact there was even sediment at the bottom of my glass)

a little on the heavier side for a hefe, but still not a bad brew

The waitress told me that if this beer seemed to thick that I should add a lemon to it ;) It was standard cloudy hefe, a dark, rich yellow, perhaps slightly more turbid than other hefes I've seen around in the US. Smells were witbeer: citrus and coriander, nice. Taste, too, had alot of the elements one would expect, dryish bananas, citrus, and a little bit of sour grains. I also found it to be a bit salty, which I liked and seemed to add to the drinkability. Watery though. Right on the style but not too interesting.

Served on tap in a big mug at the brewpub.

Appearance: Cloudy pale yellow topped by a small head by weisse standards. Retention was ok and little specks of foam were left on the glass.

Smell: Pleasant aromas of bananas and mild bubblegum. Hints of cloves. A quintessential hefe nose. Wow, an American hefe that delivers on the promise.

Taste: Light tastes of wheaty malts with notes of banana and cloves on the finish.

Mouthfeel: Light and crisp, and, of course, refreshing.

Drinkability: Allright, an authentic hefe. I'm growing more impressed by this brewery, at least their one-offs anyways.
