Pours a cascading brown to dark tan, topped with a one finger creamy tan head. The bartender was enthusiastic about getting the beer as close to the top as he could, otherwise this would have poured a good three finger head. Eventually settles to a dark brown/black and leaves sheets of lacing.
Dark burnt coffee bean, oatmeal, an earthy note, and a minor dark chocolate note.
Chocolate and oatmeal, cream make up most of the taste, on top of lots of roasted malt, minor licorice touch in the back.
Medium to full bodied and creamy, and good session beer, very smooth.
