Pours cloudy and the color of grapefruit juice, topped with a one finger off white head, leaves bits of lacing.
Tart, peach filled nose, plenty of musty hay.
Very robustly flavored, peach, horseblanket, hay, and it's quite tart. The taste will stay with you for awhile.
Medium bodied.

Appearance – This one poured a thick, cloudy orange in color with a smallish head.

Smell – The sharp, horsey aroma here is raunchy farmyard at its best. A lot of US Fruit Lambic attempts overwhelm the nose with artificial candy-style fruit, but the peach here is light and definitely takes a back seat to the raw lambic nose. The unforgiving urine and moldy grass go great together.

Taste – The peach is small but raw and unsweetened. It is as much peach hide as it is peach flesh. The guezey lambic flavors rule the roost here. It is high-quality and heavy on the horse blanket. These are some terrific flavors.

Mouthfeel – This medium-bodied Lambic is big, strong, but incredibly smooth. The sourness is easy on the tongue and goes well with the light, honey-like sweetness. The two flavors are in perfect harmony as they swing back and forth like two kids on a sea-saw.

Drinkability – This was dynamic and wonderful. The flavors were a match made in heaven. The pure lambic flavors were awesome, but it was the light, subtle hand with the peach that put this one over the top in my book. I was completely blown away by the ability of a brewery like Rock Bottom to put this together. Amazing!

Comments – With all the fine, quality breweries represented at the 2004 Belgian Beer Fest the last place I expected to blow me away was Rock Bottom, but this was hands down my favorite beer of the fest. Well done!
