Mmm... deep black body with a brown eggshell head. A light coffee roast malt with a touch of chocolate. Good choice of lager yeast gives this a very clean finish with no lingering regrets. The bartender told me brewmaster Pete Crowley only brews this one every two years.

Review from notes:
What, a schwartz bier at a national brew pub chain? Interesting, but this might be dumbed down and not a true schwarz. To my surprise this was a very good representation of the style, I'd think it was from Germany if I didn't know better. Lots of malty sweetness and toastiness. Light coffee acidity mixed with smooth dark chocolate notes. Nutty flavor rides underneath along with some bittersweet chocolate and stays there until the finish. Very easy drinking. Mouthfeel is full and the body is creamy. Slight dark fruits were noticed at the very end. I could really enjoy this for quite some time. Great job.
