Damn, now this is an IPA. I got this at the end of sampling the Mpls Rock Bottom and it blew their other brews away. It seemed a rival to Town Hall's Masala Mama IPA. This beer similarily started flowery and then dove into the heave citrus hops. This one comes out a bit more harsh, but still damn tasty. Just enough hops without going overboard. Give it a try.

Anniversary IPA 2006.

Definitely not see through, orangish amber in color, thin off white cap of a head. Aroma is full of citrusy hops, lemon rind, oranges, and grapfruit, but with a quite rich malty backbone. The taste is well hopped with a lot of fruity flavors, orange, grapefruit, peach, and tangerine. But the malt stands out more than in many American IPAs, a lot of toasted grain, amber and maybe some toffee/caramel malts. There was a slight aftertaste that took me forever to put my finger on, but I think it was like Cheerios, it was actually kind of good and balancing.

Verdict: a lot like an amped up version, more hops and malt both, of their American Dream IPA, with a little more lean toward the malt side. A good beer, tasty all around. A maltier than most American IPA.

Pours to an hazy orangish-copper color with a head that diminishes to a ring. The aroma is candy-like with a fruity peach smell. A nice malty syrupy aroma. Love the aroma. The flavor is is semi-sweet and fruity. It is kinda like syrup cover fruit cocktail. It is kinda thin in the body, but it is very easy drinking. It has a semi-dry finish. A tasty brew.

Very hazy appearance, deep amber hue, nearing on orange, with an acceptable film of froth above.
big, juicy aroma, dripping with fruit, cherry pits, drizzling nectarines, brimming over with berries, jumping with juicy fruit.
On the palate, a big blitz of hops, and fruitiness, but there's an overwhelming, how else can I put it, plasticene feel? ...a little soapy?...Just a little sticky-icky, and rubbery, too. Big, beefy presence on the palate, rounded and rimmed with just slightly bitter hoppy flavor, ...I like it okay, but it needs some work.
