On tap at Rock Bottom La Jolla.
A: Dark gold with good clarity and a finger of white foam.
S: Toasted and bready malt notes are expressive with a light noble hop presence. Clean.
T: Sweet bread and toasted notes. Low bitterness evens things out in the clean malty finish.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is crisp and creamy.
Overall: A nice Vienna Lager. Impressive. I could drink a lot of this.

a one-time seasonal by the current brewer. a light honey/blond/apricot in the glass. very subtle nose, some bready and vegetal notes. moderately sweet taste, very little hop bitterness. some grassy/metallic tastes mixed in, but very subtle. decent carbonation. this is a pretty good attempt at the style, but nothing special. low abv and freshness makes this drinkable.

Appearance - orange amber, 2 fingers of off-white head, holding at a heavy cap at least through the first half of the pint.
Aroma - light grain, slightly sweet but a bit of a disappointment, I was expecting more malt depth.
Taste - malty, nutty, slightly sweet. A little background hops that don't really develop into anything tasteworthy. Light caramel and roasted malt finish. Basic and good.
Mouthfeel - a little edgy from the carbonation but basically smooth.
Drinkability - pretty tasty, about on par for the style and goes down easy as it ought.
