Beautiful scarlet red appearance. Nice looking crop of off-white head. Quite creamy. And it leaves a boatload of lace. Nice thick aroma of caramelized malts, piney/resinous hops and a bit of peat like smokiness. Toasted malts are upfont on the palate. I think vienna malts play a big part of this formulation. At least that's what my buds are telling me. The hops are sticky, resinous and raw, though not overboard. I'm getting at this beer near the end of its run, so I'm gonna guess the hops and bitterness were even more kicked up when this was fresh. Glacier and Warrior?!?! Hell yeah. There's also some peat, cedar and smoke on the palate. This is about as full flavored as it gets. Mouthfeel is very agreeable. Lightly carbonated and about medium bodied.
This beer almost seems like a kicked up "West Coast" version of an Amber Ale. Or a high octane Vienna Lager. Oh, say, maybe like an "Imperial Elliot Ness." :>)
Rock Bottom is impressing the hell out of me. Note to myself: Go There More Often.

V. 2.0 is what is says on the board, so that's what I calls it here...
from a growler...
Hazy amber hue, thick creamy head...nice lookin'...
Nose: nice and hoppy, ...big citrus, fresh and floral, good fruit,
Taste: huge flavor, big, bold, fruitiness, stand-out hops, lively and delicious...vibrant...most tasty...yum...
full-bodied, with a long, hoppy, fruity finish...every now and then, this Rock Bottom makes a really good one..and here's one of those!
Just flat-out delicious...here's to more of the same!
