This beer is escribed as "An Oatmeal Stout aged with whole coffee beans in a Woodford Reserve barrel for 4 months". Yummy. It is a very solid, creamy, and viscous stout with a shot of espresso and bourbon. What a way to wake up? The stout component is solid and prevailant. The alcohols, albeit strong, are sweet, hot, and makes the beer worth the time. The boubon gives off woody, caramel, and vanilla flavors that contribute to the stout. Coffee beans made the beer's roasted character even more pronounced, but not to overtake the other beer flavors. This coffee flavor is not as strong as Bell's Java Stout, but it is strong. The wood aging seemed to mellow the flavors out to an enjoyable and appreciable level. Good beer, but I could have more than one of these at a time.
