Appearance: One of the prettiest beers I have ever seen. Arrives in a root beer mug with a coffee brown body and a frothy tan head that would outdo anything Starbuck's puts on top of its lattes; plenty of lacing all the way downt the side of the glass
Smell: Vague but noticeable brown bread roasted malt nose
Taste: Very bready at the start with a subtle, but fruity, hops kick that joins mid-palate; the finish has a nice coffee flavor, too
Mouthfeel: Light/medium bodied with low carbonation
Drinkability: Very nice balanced flavor profile; just a little light on the mouthfeel

A very pleasant beer to drink on a cold winter afternoon here in NC. Poured a dark to almost opaque black with a generous head of coffe ice cream color. Served in a wide mouthed mug reminiscent of a root beer mug.
Mostly chocolate malt and some coffee aromas as well. Not very strong. Tiny bit of piney hops in the aroma as well. Smells very balanced.
Taste is balanced as well. Lots of chocolate malts. Tastes almost like a chocolate stout. Plenty of coffee tones as well. Great balance between malt and hops. Hops are present in the aftertaste, but the coffee and chocolate are the main attraction here.
Definitely could be a regular drinker of this beer. They do offer growlers at the brewery so I will be sure to take one of these home on my next visit.
