served too cold in a brandy snifter-type deal
very dark with ruby highlights and an off-white head
fruity belgianesque flavors: raisin and other dark fruit. from special B? a fruity doppelbock? no roastiness and not particularly bockish in mouthfeel...dry. menu claims plenty of Munich malts, but i don't pick them up here: dry, fruity, not like a doppelbock, really
i wasn't excited by this but it's better than my style-appropriateness test indicates. not much like the style, but not awful. just disappointing
