There was good cocoa colored foam that hung around. Nicely opaque, deep brown/black in color. Aroma was mild, containing roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The initial taste is thick, black coffee, vanilla with notes of peat. Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, and thick, almost syrupy. Fire roasted malt gives it a nice thick stout taste: more mellow, and better than Guinness, in my opinion. Hops are there in balance, providing a massive stout experience that lingers on the palate. Excellent!! Try it!
